Hey, I'm Erica!
If you're a fan of sarcasm, music, and relate to a lot of tweets under #showerthoughts, you're in the right place. I developed this blog as a way to merge two passions of mine- music and writing- to provide engaging and thought-provoking content about the seemingly vast expanse that is the music universe.
I have always had a penchant for writing ever since I was little. I remember dreaming as a kid about becoming an author one day as I sat at home and illustrated the chapter books I had written. Then I grew up and developed another love: music. In high school, I started curating playlists on SoundCloud and Spotify while I (to my parents' dismay) spent all of my money on concerts.
In college, my love for music only grew. My college town, Athens, has a historic music scene, which meant that friends and I could always find a local show to go to. I also studied to earn a music business certificate in the hopes of one day working in marketing at a record label or for a brand like Spotify.
